Openings Maybe it has been asked before, but....
Is there a way to run a search on GK to find out which openings are being (have been) played in the games?

no the only way to do that would be if mike had some sort of database- and that would probably be only for paid members

Is there a way to win in 4 moves I think I heard somwhere that there is a way to win in 4 moves. I would like to learn how it is done. If there is a way pease notify me.

(for example)

1.f4 e6
2.g4 Qh4#

(2 move mate)

A similiar win in four moves could be analogous to the above, utilizing the h4 - d8 diaganal.

Studying tactics would probably be the most important thing to do, since that is what wins most games at non-advanced levels.

Scholar's Mate runs 1. e4 2. Bc4 3. Qh5 4. Qxf7#, e.g. 1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 Nc6 3. Bc4 Nf6 4. Qxf7#

Of course, with best play Black has no problems refuting white's attack, e.g. 1. e4 e5 2. Qh5 Nc6 3. Bc4 g6 4. Qf3 Nf6 5. Qb3? Nd4! and Black should win.
